Mechanics:
- The fight is divided into three phases: melee, ranged/magic, and melee again.
- During the melee phase, watch for falling rocks from the ceiling and dodge the spin attack.
- When Scurrius eats cheese, he’ll change to either ranged or magic attacks, indicated by the color of his eyes. Switch your prayer accordingly.
- He’ll also summon rat waves during both ranged/magic and melee phases. You can focus on Scurrius or clear the rats quickly, depending on your preference.
Gear:
- You can use all three combat styles against Scurrius, so choose what you’re most comfortable with.
- For melee, prioritise high attack and strength gear like Dragon Scimitar or Abyssal Whip.
- For ranged/magic, bring appropriate offensive gear and switch prayers quickly. Black Salamander and Ahrim’s Staff are good options.
- Bring prayer potions, food, and a teleport for emergencies. Consider stamina potions for quicker dodging.
Tips:
- Use a cannon or chin for the initial wave of rats to save time.
- Stand in the middle of the arena during the ranged/magic phase to avoid falling rocks.
- If using melee, consider a weapon with crush bonus for extra damage against rats.
- Practice switching prayers quickly and prioritize staying alive over dealing damage.
